Initial Inspection

During our initial inspection we come out and make sure that you indeed have a bat colony living in your home.  In most cases if a bat is flying around in your home you have an active bat colony living in your attic.  Getting rid of the bats is not easy and we certainly don’t recommend this to be done by anyone other than a trained professional.  We look in the attic and climb on the roof to assess where the bats are entering and what needs to be done to solve your bat issues.

Bat Proofing Services

Our removal services consist of sealing all potential areas around the home and installing bat valves which allow the bats out, but not back in. We seal all areas on the home including vents, vent fans, ridge venting, gable vents, and more. The bat valve is a one way door that allows the bats to fly out, but will not allow bats back into the home. Bats cannot enter your home in the same fashion a raccoon or a squirrel might by chewing into a piece of rotted fascia. Bats can only enter through existing holes or man-made holes.

Bats flying around in winter

Southeastern Wisconsin winters can be extremely difficult to predict, one day it might be -10 degrees and the next day, 30 degrees. Bats have a hard time staying in hibernation throughout the entire season.  This change in temperature is the main reason we receive calls from clients asking us to get rid of the bat that is flying around inside their homes. Many bats gain access into the home from the basement.  After entering the basement the bats initial instinct is to fly upwards.  Bats may be drawn to noise from TVs, windows, and especially fans.  If a bat is flying around in your home in winter, it is most likely you have a colony hibernating in your attic.
